What do astrologers mean by referring to your natal chart?

The exact moment we were born all planets were at a specific placement in our solar system. Our system is heliocentric, which means that all planets travel around the Sun at different distances and velocities. The closer a planet is to the Sun, the higher speed it has in order to maintain its orbit. This is why we see that Mercury is the fastest planet of our system and goes retrograde very often (which means it moves a bit slower than usual, as no planet does move backwords in its orbit).

According to their distance and velocity, planets form angles to one another. These angles are commonly known in astrology as aspects, which may be expressed either positively or negatively. To understand the effect of the aspects, you can consider the planets as the Gods of ancient years. That’s a very simple interpretation for beginners, positive aspects could be when they were either friends or lovers and negative aspects are the times they were fighting with each other. Of course, I don’t mean that the 12 Gods of ancient years reside in their planets, but the energy of the planet is the same as the basic characteristics of each God.

‘As above, so below’

The aspects, which were formed the very exact moment you were born, are reflected in your natal chart and show all your potential in this lifetime. Where you can succeed, what you really desire, how others see you, your strong points, your weaknesses, your ambitions, your relationships with others. Everything is explained by reviewing your natal chart.
